Lujuria (Lust) is one of the collections of the “Anti-decay” exhibition of the young artist from Jaén, Héctor Lara, sponsored by Lixpen and Cubiio. This artist, currently living in Valencia, is quite versatile as he does portraits as well as sculptures, graffitis, video installations and 3D.

The Lujuria (Lust) collection is a set of works through which he tried to reach the public by normalizing the sexual aesthetics of the woman’s body in contemporary society. His image goes through an egalitarian revolution between the different sexes, through which he tries to find a purely artistic view of the woman’s body, criticizing the monetary exploitation related to prostitution, pornography, sexist ads, etc.

The Lujuria (Lust collection pursues the elimination of acquired prejudices and the contemplation of the female figure as an object of artistic delight for its natural forms and not through sexualization. It’s an exercise of introspection, and at the same time an extrospection, of our surroundings to realize everything that happens around us. That is why the color gold is so important in the works of Héctor Lara. It evidences the power of the market and consumerism over all controllable elements.
